I got my new Motorola PEBL yesterday. It’s pretty swank. Here’s some pics. It’s all slick n’ stylish. Notice how cool the time format is. It has a rubberized paint on the exterior that is pretty cool. Keeps it from slippin’ around everywhere. The screen is very bright and crisp and lets my favorite scifi book cover shine with all its glory. The interior is all slick and shiny and looks pretty cool until you touch it, it shows grime like it’s so hot right now. It sounds loud and clear and get’s great reception. The Bluetooth is my favorite feature. It’s so easy to get stuff on and off of this thing. No paying for ringtones for me! Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get phonezoo to work with it. It may be a service plan issue, not letting me get on the web even if I’ll pay the price per minute for it. I’m sure I’ll figure it out. So pretty darn good phone so far. It’s only been a day so we’ll see. Maybe I’ll do a full review later. Now for the back story…
So our Cingular contract is up and we decided to break up and see what else the world had to offer. Not sure how much is Cingular’s fault but we had terrible service. I couldn’t take or make calls in our apartment and there were frequent problems with voice mail and such. Altogether not the best experience. Thusly we switched to T-Mobile.
Now maybe I’m just an idiot but i got a bit of a shock when we switched. I ordered the phones online at tmobile.com. It was all nice and smooth and I had our numbers transferred. Now, I assumed that when I got my phones in the mail I’d have to activate them and begin the new service. But what happened was they switched the numbers immediately and I was left without any service until my phones came in the mail. Luckily I had them overnighted but I was still out of service for about 14 hours. That would have been nice to know before I ordered. Overall it was a smooth transition so I’m a happy camper.
