This drawing was inspired by Chevelle. Sitting in Art History class with their songs stuck in my head resulted in a doodle that I promptly took home and tackled with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. I tried to convey the feel and atmosphere of their sound, rough and noisy.

The sketch I made in class was only the dude with the guitar. I first refined the sketch and scanned it in. Then I traced it in Illustrator and began to color him. I then took the Illustrator sketch and took it into Photoshop. From there I just went crazy with texture. I really like this picture, I guess because it turned out how I imagine Chevelle’s sound. I use it as my desktop frequently. \m/ Chevelle rules!! \m/
