Who We Are?
WeEn Semiconductor Co.Ltd., with a heritage of over 50 years, is a key player in the semiconductor industry and has focused on developing a wide and deep portfolio of industry-leading bipolar power products including silicon carbide diodes, thyristors - consisting of silicon controlled rectifiers and triacs -, high voltage transistors and so on. All these products are widely used in the markets for telecommunications, computers, consumer electronics, intelligent home appliances, lighting, automotive and power management applications. The aim is to help our customers achieve higher cost efficiency and production efficiency and to contribute to the development of China and global intelligent manufacturing. When this Applicant Privacy Statement refers to “we”, “us” or “our”, it refers to all WeEn Affiliates or Subsidiaries which under this Applicant Privacy Statement may process your personal data.

Recruitment, selection, evaluation and appointment of job candidates (temporary or permanent) for the job you have applied for and for subsequent job opportunities:
- General HR administration and management (in case you become an WeEn employee).

- Compliance with corporate governance and legal requirements (for example, to monitor diversity requirements).
- Communicate with you and to inform you of current status of your application and future opportunities (unless you have told us that you do not want us to keep your information for such purposes).

Our legal basis for our collecting and processing of your personal information is as follows:
- WeEn’s legitimate interests, namely the recruitment, selection, evaluation and appointment of new employees and the management and administration of the recruitment and HR process, to the extent these activities do not prejudice or harm your rights and freedoms.
- Entering into and managing a labor contract.
- Compliance with our legal obligations; (for example to the extent the law requires the monitoring equality of opportunity and diversity).
- Agreement with employee representations (such as Works Council).

When Do We Share Your Information With Third Parties?
We take care to share your personal information only with those who really need it in order to perform their tasks and duties, and to third parties with a legitimate business need.

- WeEn affiliates
- Third party service providers
We may also share your personal information with third parties who provide services to us such as IT hosting providers, relocation agencies, recruitment agencies, consultants, background services and attorneys. How Do We Safeguard Your Personal Information?
We recognize our responsibility to protect the personal information we collect. We maintain appropriate organizational and technical measures designed to protect the security and confidentiality of any personal information we process and require our service providers to do so too.
We make sure that our measures are in compliance with applicable data protection and data security laws. We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent risks, such as accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of or access to information. Additionally, we make sure that these measures are in compliance with applicable data protection and data security laws. For instance, we put in place the following measures in order protect your information:

- Limiting access to personal information (for instance, only employees on a need to know basis have access to your personal information).
- Requiring third-party providers to have acceptable security measures to keep personal information secure and putting in place physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in line with industry standards.
How Long Do We Retain Your Information?
We retain your personal information as long as it is necessary to fulfill the specific purposes, as explained under the section “Why do we collect your personal information’’.
WeEn retains your data for the applicant procedure for an initial period of 6 months.
WeEn retains your data for a period of 6 months, for the following purposes: managing your application during the full cycle of the recruitment process, candidates’ interviews, selection and final offer until closure of the job opening at new hire start date. Along these 6 months, we will also keep access to your specific application file in order to be able to answer any query you may have about your status during the different phases of the execution of the hiring process and still a few weeks after the definitive closure of the position.
With your specific consent, WeEn will keep your data for a maximum of 2 years in order to contact you in case of other suitable job openings at WeEn.
In certain cases, a longer retention of your personal information might be required according to legal obligations. In all other cases, we delete your personal information once the purpose of processing your information is fulfilled.
Your Rights
According to applicable Privacy laws, you have several rights, such as: the right to access, modify or delete your personal information (unless it is legally required to retain the information). You can easily access your account on WeEn website and manage your data.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the information you provide to WeEn and that it is honest, truthful, accurate and not misleading in any way. If you provide information concerning any other person such as individuals you provide as references, you are responsible for providing any notices and ensuring your referee consents to WeEn collecting and processing that information as described in this Applicant Privacy Statement.
How Do We Control The Storage and Collection of Your Personal Information?
